The Bioeconomy Information Sharing and Analysis Center (BIO-ISAC) is a
non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cybersecurity resilience within the life sciences -- including efforts in AI, biotech and the broader bioeconomy.
We foster trusted relationships, serving as a hub for intelligence sharing, ethical vulnerability disclosure and research, workforce development, and practical tools for navigating the intersection of cybersecurity and biology. Together, we seek to advance cybersecurity resilience and responsibility by making solutions more accessible.
As a community, we have delivered more than $4 million of in-kind activity each of the last two years in trainings and professional development, threat briefings and intelligence reporting, building tools for industry, and early-stage incident response.
Industry-wide
Intelligence
Our efforts enable direct intelligence sharing among stakeholders in biotech and the broader bioeconomy industries. Though some is member-protected, we are dedicated to share information transparently to prevent incidents.
Coordinated Disclosure
We promote ethical coordinated vulnerability disclosure practices within the bioeconomy sectors to ensure the responsible handling of cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats.
Workforce
Training
We provide workforce programs tailored to the experiential learning needs of those starting, transitioning to, or investing in bio-based connected campuses. Our bio-lab and cyber-lab experiences to deliver a cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary knowledge base for our attendees and improve security posturing.
Practical Tools for Cyberbiosecurity
Access practical tools to navigate building a secure system at the complex intersection of biology and cybersecurity, guides for regulation and equipment management, and a network of support should you face an active incident.
