Data is the backbone of modern bio-research. This effort focuses on ensuring the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of bioscience data. Our future for data integrity protects the provenance of this resource from the moment it is generated, or in transit or use, keeping it safe throughout its lifecycle.
About this work
Under the leadership of Scott Ross and Phillip Whitlow, of HudsonAlpha Institute of Biotechnology, and Sterling Sawaya, of GeneInfoSec Inc., the Data Integrity initiative at BIO-ISAC convened a two-day retreat on genomic data integrity and published two reports on the future of genomic data security and categorizations for improving the risk management for these tools.
