In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, where cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, this new report shares in the enthusiasm for the power of artificial intelligence in the life sciences and offers tailored solutions. These recommendations are crafted to help organizations document their intended purpose ahead of commencing research, optimize their defense strategies, and create an environment that stays one step ahead of potential risks and threats.

This report is the culmination of years of advocacy efforts in collaboration with government agencies, cybersecurity experts, and industry leaders in biotech. These efforts have shaped the development of a comprehensive framework that not only addresses the unique challenges facing the cyberbiosecurity environments today but also anticipates future risks. By sharing this content, BIO-ISAC hopes to empower organizations to enhance their cybersecurity posture and protect critical systems, data, and intellectual property.

The Bioeconomy Information Sharing and Analysis Center (BIO-ISAC) and its members support the ongoing efforts to collect information and insights on current and future practices and methodologies for the responsible development and use of artificial intelligence (AI) models. We ask everyone to prioritize cyberbiosecurity, particularly with regards to data and AI model integrity, testing, and maintenance
